(Bangkok Post file photo)Hotels in Thailand are among the most loved accommodations in the world, according to the latest findings from booking website Hotels.com. Thailand ranks 10th globally in the number of Gold Award-winning properties, Hotels.com's "Loved by Guests Awards 2017", which are based on real guest reviews, have found. This year Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai topped the list of cities with the most Gold hotels in Thailand, which has 42 such properties in total, up from 41 last year. The award is based on Hotels.com's analysis of more than 25 million guest reviews, with 2,500 hotels across 87 countries being recognised as truly outstanding. Recipients of the gold award in Thailand include big chains such as Mandarin Oriental, Siam Kempinski and The Peninsula.
